Frequently Asked Questions

If I am not Catholic, can I still get help from Catholic Charities?
Yes. Catholic Charities helps people of all faiths.

Do you have to be Catholic to relinquish or adopt a child through Catholic Charities?
No. Catholic Charities serves birth parents and seeks stable, loving families of all faiths for its adoption program.

How is Catholic Charities funded?
About 16% of CCDP's funding comes from fees. CCDP receives operating financial support from a variety of sources, including the Bishop's Diocesan Fund, Diocese of Pueblo, Pueblo County United Way, and The Thatcher Foundation. Catholic Charities also receives grants from a variety of private and public institutions. In order to insure that our mission of service to people regardless of their ability to pay, Catholic Charities also depends on the generosity of individual and anonymous donors to support its work.
