
- Bright Beginnings: A universal program offering two educational contacts to families with children age's birth through 2 years. Families receive education on brain and language development Tools such as the Mozart Effect and the Learningames are presented in a wonderful, cost free gift packet. Bright Beginnings is offered in Pueblo, Otero, Crowley, Bent, Custer, Fremont, Huerfano, Alamosa, Costilla and Conejos counties.
- Emergency Assistance: Thanks to Target Distribution Center and Wal-Mart store, CCDP receives donations such as diapers, formula, clothing, car seats, toys etc. that we use to help families in crisis situations. This is available in Pueblo, Huerfano, Otero, Crowley and Bent Counties.
- Parents As Teachers: An award-winning, research based early childhood parent education program which supports parents in their role as their child's first and most influential teachers. Monthly visits for parents with children birth to three years of age. This is available in Pueblo County and eight other counties in the Diocese either directly through Catholic Charities or partnerships developed with community agencies.
- Child Health Matters: Provides community education on Child Health Plan Plus, information and application assistance to families with uninsured children in Pueblo County. Eligible families are enrolled in Medicaid or CHP+. Birth to 18 years of age.
- La Familia Fuerte/Strong Families: An intensive parenting support program that provides home visits and service coordination to families with children ages birth to twelve in the Pueblo community. Education in child development, building relationships and life skills provided.
- Good-Touch/Bad-Touch®: A curriculum based violence prevention program that educates children, age preschool through sixth grade, their parents and educators about sexual abuse, child abuse, bullying and stranger danger.
